Classic sitcom Love Thy Neighbour was hugely popular in the ’70s, an era when Britain was coming to terms with being a multicultural society. It portrays the clash of cultures between black and white neighbours, Bill Reynolds and Eddie Booth, and how their long-running feud and attempts to get the better of each other invariably lead to comic disasters. The comedy mostly focused on the bigoted opinions of the clueless Eddie though actor Rudolph Walker, who played Bill Reynolds, admitted that: “My arguments are as silly as his.” In this episode, Will Eddie and Bill ever get on?
