Bless This House - Series 4 - Ep4

This ever-popular '70s British sitcom centres on Mr Average Family Man, Sid Abbott (played by Sid James), his wife Jean and his two children Mike and Sally. The good-natured but frustrated Sid's ambitions are constantly thwarted by his family but his pleasures are simple: Chelsea FC, beer and a bit of what you fancy! Episode four of series four, A Beef in His Bonnet, once again sees Sid's life made more difficult by his family’s antics. The show was unusual in that its director/producer William G Stewart (presenter of Channel 4 tea time quiz show Fifteen To One) commissioned scripts from a variety of authors, including Vince Powell, Harry Driver and Carla Lane. In 2004 it was listed at number 67 in the 100 greatest-ever British sitcoms.
