In series four, episode three of this ever-popular British '70s sitcom, Who’s Minding the Baby?, next door neighbour Betty pops in and asks a little favour. Sid is not keen, but his wife Jean insists that they should help her out. It’s a decision that everyone’s going to regret. Bless This House was a popular British sitcom that ran from 1971 to 1976. Series four was aired in 1974. In 2004 it was listed at number 67 in the 100 greatest-ever British sitcoms. The show was unusual in that its director/producer William G Stewart (presenter of Channel 4 tea time quiz show Fifteen To One) commissioned scripts from a variety of authors, including Vince Powell, Harry Driver and Carla Lane.
