The Lakehouse

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves star in this unusual romance with an unreal, ethereal edge. When lonely architect Alex (Reeves) moves into a stylish glass-fronted lakeside house built by his father, he finds a letter from the previous tenant in the mailbox. Kate (Bullock) has left a forwarding address in Chicago but when Alex decides to deliver her post by hand, he walks in on a construction site. The apartment that Kate claims she’s living in hasn’t even been built yet! The pair realise that they’re living in different years, she’s in 2006, he’s in 2004. Yet somehow they can send each other letters across time and as the pair start falling in love, they wonder what will happen if they ignore the time divide and try to meet up.
