Rumour Has It

Director Rob Reiner has always made films that are smarter than the average hit, from mockumentary Spinal Tap to thriller Misery and the classic romcom When Harry Met Sally. So don’t be surprised by the unusual twists in the lightly comic Rumour Has It. When Sarah (Jennifer Aniston) hears a rumour that The Graduate was based on her family, she wonders whether she’s the love child of the real Benjamin Braddock, played in the famous movie by Dustin Hoffman. Flying to San Francisco, she’s immediately smitten by Beau (Kevin Costner) and, for a time, it seems that she may end up sleeping with the man who also bedded her mum and grandma. Not only that but he might be her dad. Yeuch!
