Fans and haters of Paris Hilton will both enjoy this splatter-lite horror remake. Love her? Then you’ll enjoy one of her first acting roles as she joins her friends when they unwisely enter the House of Wax in an eerily deserted town. Hate her? Then pray for her demise as the teens fall victim to the House’s deranged proprietors, who turn people into exhibits for their macabre museum. The cast is headed up by 24’s teen hottie Elisha Cuthbert who is ably supported by Chad Michael Murray playing her bad boy brother and Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester from TV’s Supernatural) as her boyfriend. With plenty of “don’t go into the basement” thrills, House of Wax checks all the right boxes for a nail-biting night in.
