Iron Giant

This animated science fiction film is based on the 1968 children’s book by Ted Hughes and features the voices of Jennifer Aniston, Vin Diesel and Harry Connick Jr. A young boy named Hogarth Hughes stumbles across an enormous robot and saves him from electrocution. The childlike giant loves nothing more than eating metal and soon becomes friends with Hogarth. However, there are clouds on the horizon. This is the 1950s and anti-communist paranoia is high. With the help of his beatnik friend Dean, Hogarth must stop a military force led by a general and a federal agent from finding and destroying his new robot friend.
