Miss Congeniality

In this hilarious comedy thriller, a serial bomber reveals that his next attack will be on the Miss United States beauty pageant. The FBI decide to place an undercover agent at the pageant to smoke out the bomber. Unfortunately, the only candidate is bumbling agent Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock), whose tomboyish behaviour and aggressive attitude are miles from the femininity and decorum required of the typical Miss United States contestant. Nevertheless, when the existing Miss New Jersey is dropped from the pageant following revelations about her porno movie past, Agent Hart is slotted into her place, much to the horror of event organisers Stan Fields and Cathy Morningside (William Shatner and Candice Bergen). All that remains is for professional beauty queen handler Victor Melling (Michael Caine) to turn this ugly FBI duckling into a graceful swan.
