Slick gambling action from director Curtis Hanson (LA Confidential, 8 Mile). Hulk star Eric Bana plays Huck, a compulsive gambler eager to go after the $2.5 million winner’s pot at the 2003 World Series of Poker. His take-no-prisoners style and habit of gambling everything he has are making it hard for him to hold onto his ten grand entry stake. The fact that his professional gambler dad LC (Robert Duvall) abandoned his family years ago and has been conning him ever since doesn’t help either. Charlie’s Angel Drew Barrymore plays Billie, the curvaceous first-time contestant he takes under his wing, although his intentions are less than honourable.
