Joel Schumacher returns as director for the fourth Batman movie. George Clooney plays Batman with a supporting cast including Chris O’Donnell, Alicia Silverstone, Uma Thurman, Elle Macpherson and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Mr Freeze is a former doctor whose blood is laced with cryogenic liquid. He plans to chill Gotham as a way of getting the money he needs to find a cure for a mysterious disease that has infected his wife. It's a disease that Alfred, Batman’s trusted manservant, has also developed. As if that wasn’t enough, Poison Ivy, a mutated eco-terrorist with lips full of venom, is in town with her hulking sidekick, Bane. She plans to team up with Freeze. Even Batman and Robin will need some help this time. Step forward Alfred’s niece Barbara, also known as Batgirl.
