Corpse Bride

The art of stop-motion animation has rarely been more beautifully employed than in director Tim Burton’s enchanting story of love, marriage and mistaken identity. When Victor, a bridegroom-to-be struggles to remember his lines at his wedding rehearsal, he seeks a quiet place in the woods to practice his vows. While repeating his all-important statements of fidelity he places a wedding ring on what appears to be a nearby twig. In reality the twig is the boney finger of the Corpse Bride, a skeletal beauty who was murdered and dumped in the forest where she has lain ever since awaiting the return of her lost beau. Victor and his new wife travel to the land of the dead where he must eventually make a difficult life or death decision.
